What is the advantage of the iFEED feeder? The iFEED feeder save you time because your horse will be fed automatically at regular intervals throughout the day. You need only fill the feeders once a day when convenient to you. The iFEED feeder is better for your horse as horses do best with small feedings throughout the day. The iFEED feeder reduces stress for your horse at feeding times because the feeder dispenses 1 cup of feed every 60 seconds up to a total of 15 cups each feeding. The iFEED feeder can save you money by reducing feed waste. By only releasing small quantities of feed, your horse cannot scatter feed out of the trough. No more cleaning up spoiled feed from the stall floor. Back to TopHow much feed does the iFEED feeder hold? The feeders hold 2.8 gallons by volume (think of approximately 3 one gallon milk containers). The weight of feed depends on the type of feed you use. Most iFEED owners need to fill the iFEED feeders once a day. Back to TopWhat type of feed can I use with the iFEED feeder? The feeder will dispense dry food, pellets, and grain products. We do not recommend using sweet feeds with molasses as they stick to the inside of the feeder.. Back to TopHow does the iFEED feeder work? Each iFEED feeder has a self-contained motor that releases between 1 and 15 cups of feed each feed cycle. Feed cycles are controlled by a timer connected to the power supply unit. Up to 16 feeders can be powered from a single power supply. Back to TopHow many times a day can I feed my horse with the iFEED feeder? The timer can be set to feed up to 12 times each day. Up to 16 feeders can be powered from a single power supply and each feeder can be individually set to release from 1 to 15 cups of feed each feeding. Back to TopHow do I install the feeder? The iFEED feeder is designed to be mounted outside the stall. The feeders can be mounted on the stall bars using U-bolts available from any hardware store. We do not provide the U-bolts because each stall is different. A special chute attachment (included) guides the feed between the stall bars into your existing bucket or trough. Back to TopiFEED LLC
